Reforest and Your APAX Registration
In 2026, we’ve included a contribution towards Reforest as part of your delegate registration.
Previously, this was something you could opt into. Now it is something we’re doing together.
Since APAX Cairns in 2023, we’ve partnered with Reforest Australia to support meaningful, long-term environmental restoration. It’s a partnership we’ve continued because we believe in the care and impact behind the work, from rebuilding ecosystems to protecting biodiversity and habitat.
Over the past few years, we have supported projects like Mabi Forest, Widewah Sanctuary and the Cooroy Mountain Wildlife Corridor.
In 2026, we’re continuing to work with Reforest by supporting the Doonan Creek Environment Reserve through the Doonan Community Restoration Project.
This change is about more than a single tree. It’s about recognising the environmental impact that comes with bringing the arts sector together each year at APAX and we are committed to making choices to invest in nature as part of this responsibility. Each tree helps restore habitat, strengthen biodiversity, and support healthier ecosystems over time.
This shared investment is already making a difference.
In 2025 we funded the planting of 129 trees (represented by trees purchased by delegates and by PAC Australia) representing a significant, long-term contribution to restoring natural systems (you can take a peek at our impact since 2024 via the Reforest dashboard). Alongside this, we reduced food-related emissions by 31% by increasing plant-based catering offers, redistributing leftover food, avoiding single-use plastics, and choosing recyclable materials whenever possible, even down to our bamboo name badges.
This year, we are aiming even higher by putting $5 from every registration towards a tree with Reforest, growing our collective contribution to nature and continuing to improve how we deliver the event in more sustainable ways.
If you’d like to go further, you can consider lower-impact travel options where possible, including rail connections across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria (more information available here).
Thank you for being part of APAX and for helping us shape a more sustainable and climate-conscious event.
