Accessibility & Wellbeing

PAC Australia is dedicated to making our program and events as accessible as possible. We will publish the APAX Accessibility Guide here when registrations open in early May 2025.

When you register for APAX, the form will ask you for any particular access requirements you’d like us to know about, and we’ll be in touch with you to chat further before the event.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact our Operations Manager, Nate Newell, who will be happy to help: nate@paca.org.au or (08) 9221 8992 (Boorloo/Perth time zone).

Sign up to the PAC Australia e-newsletter to get all the APAX updates and announcements as they happen.

You might also find info on APAX Catering of interest.

On this page:

know before you go

Know Before You Go is a public online session (held on Zoom) on Thursday 31 July at 1pm AEST. It doesn’t require an APAX registration to attend.

Know Before You Go will provide you with all the information you need to feel prepared before you join us in Garramilla/Darwin.

We’ll put the Zoom registration link here and on the Program page of this site when it’s available.

Wellbeing

We are all responsible for contributing to a culturally, physically and emotionally safe event. In delivering APAX, PAC Australia acts based on our identified Guiding Principles. Read more on the PAC Australia website.

FOR YOU, AT APAX

First Nations & Indigenous Space

A dedicated First Nations & Indigenous Space will be available at the Darwin Entertainment Centre. It’s a private room with sunlight, couches, desks, tea, coffee, snacks, and quiet.

This space is available for all First Nations and Indigenous APAX delegates as an area to connect, conduct First Nations and Indigenous business, rest and restore.

Quiet Room

A quiet room or space is available to use at the Darwin Entertainment Centre. The room is a private and quiet space where delegates can find a peaceful moment away from the noise and energy of the event. There’ll be places to sit and switch off, or quietly get some work done.

Prayer Room

A Prayer Room will also be available at the Darwin Entertainment Centre. It is open for use by people of all faiths.

First Aid

Please approach any venue Front of House or APAX staff member for first aid support on site. Information on local chemists and medical practices is available below, and on the local tips page.

Mental Health Support

There are many different community initiatives to support mental health and wellbeing, and we’ve highlighted some organisations and resources that may be useful:
